Buffalo’s Comprehensive Plan is the result of intense input from thousands of Buffalonians who together crafted a vision for the city’s future based on the principles of smart growth and sustainability.
The Plan makes clear that Buffalo is composed of a series of unique places – neighborhoods, employment districts, college campuses, and the like – each with its own mix of land uses, building types, and public spaces that create a particular character and identity. The Buffalo Green Code will take all the elements people like about these communities and create detailed land use plans and a new zoning code that will help make them even better places in which to live, work, invest, and play.
